When listing beads on the internet we try to select items that are similar and set aside unique strands that might surprise the customer. However, there will always be some variation in stone beads, lamp work glass and other one of kind or handmade items. When we listed some olive jade (serpentine) rectangular beads we pulled the dozen strands that were most similar for the internet, but all of the variations were reserved for our retail store. In person, you might choose ones that were more opaque and less translucent, ones that were more speckled, or ones that had a more brown color cast. Often the exceptions are unique and most sought after, but we attempt to minimize surprises to our on line purchasers. If you are after the most unusual, you may have to stop by.
